Following his meeting with BJP leader Amit Shah on Wednesday, former Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh on Thursday said that he will not be 'humiliated by Congress.

A minister in the earlier Captain Amarinder Singh led Congress government in Punjab, Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa said he is a ‘Congressman’.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said he hopes Captain Amarinder Singh will not take any such step, which will harm the Congress party.
The announcement was made by Congress general secretary Harish Rawat.
Reacting to Samyukta Kisan Morcha’s criticism of the remarks he had made yesterday on the issue, the Chief Minister lamented that despite his government’s unequivocal support to their cause, the farmers had misinterpreted his appeal and had, instead, tried to link it with the upcoming Assembly polls in Punjab.
In an address, Captain Amarinder Singh said that the state and its entire population stood like a rock with the farmers. He added that farmers should now desist from holding protests across the state.
The state government has announced the move against continued vaccine hesitancy.
