Kolkata Knight Riders win by 3 wickets
Sunil Narine two sixes and a four off a Kagiso Rabada over, turned the tables for KKR as the Eoin Morgan-led side defeated high-flying Delhi Capitals by three wickets in a low-scoring encounter today in Sharjah. Chasing Delhi's 127/9, KKR lost Venkatesh Iyer and Rahul Tripathi cheaply before Nitish Rana and Shubman Gill steadied the ship. However, Gill's innings was short-lived after he miscued a Rabada delivery to give a simple catch. KKR lost Dinesh Karthik and skipper Eoin Morgan but that didn't deter Narine as he smashed the South African pacer to bring KKR to the brink of victory. KKR won with 10 balls to spare. The win takes KKR to 10 points while DC remain at the second spot with 16 points. This was Delhi Capitals' first loss of IPL 2021 UAE leg and third overall this season.

Just a single boundary in the first over from Warrier. Dhawan (4*), Smith (1*). DC 5/0 after 1 overs.

The pitch here in Sharjah is a bit tricky than the other two. There is less grass to hold the pitch together and expect some explosive batting in the Powerplay. It’s a must-win game for KKR and if they want to get better of DC the top-order needs to fire, says Matthew Hayden.
"Bowling will be key in this match. The ground is slightly smaller in this game and we need to close out the overs better in this match," says Sunil Narine in the post-match interview.
KKR's new foreign recruit Tim Southee is likely to make his debut in Purple and Gold today against DC.
Kolkata Knight Riders, robbed of a win by Chennai Super Kings all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja in their last IPL 2021 match, look for two full points against Delhi Capitals in Sharjah today. The KKR vs DC match will be the first of the day followed by Mumbai Indians vs Punjab Kings in the evening. Delhi Capitals are unbeaten in the UAE leg of IPL 2021 and look certain to progress to the playoffs (last four). Unflappable DC deserve to be in this comfortable position and an additional two points will take them to the top of the table. Delhi Capitals have rode their bowlers where Anrich Nortje has got the important breakthroughs with others chipping in. Delhi Capitals have beaten Kolkata Knight Riders in five out of their last six matches with South African pacer Kagiso Rabada winning DC a super over contest in 2019. This should be a good contest between the young batsmen on either side. Venkatesh Iyer and Rahul Tripathi have been a revelation for KKR while Shreyas Iyer's return from injury has surely added muscle to the DC top order where the normally prolific Prithvi Shaw is yet to fire. Andre Russell (KKR) and Marcus Stoinis (DC) have injury concerns but both teams have enough back up to substitute them. Follow live cricket scores and live updates of KKR vs DC.
